Couples Counselling
In Manchester City Centre
A supportive space to reconnect, communicate and move forward together.
Relationships can be one of the most meaningful parts of our lives, but they can also be challenging. Sometimes communication breaks down, emotional distance develops, or you may find yourselves having the same disagreements without knowing how to move forward.
Couples counselling offers a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can both feel heard, understood and respected.
If you're considering couples counselling, please feel welcome to get in touch using whichever option feels most comfortable for you.
Couples Counselling in Manchester City Centre
A supportive space to reconnect, communicate and move forward together.
Having completed a Diploma in Couples Counselling with The Counselling Academy, I am pleased to offer this service alongside my individual counselling work.
Whether you're experiencing difficulties or simply want to strengthen your relationship, counselling can provide the space to explore what's happening and find a way forward together.
My Approach
My approach to couples counselling is relational, person-centred and solution-focused.
I believe every relationship is unique, and my role is not to take sides or decide who is right or wrong. Instead, I offer a warm, compassionate and balanced space where both partners can openly explore their feelings, experiences and needs.
Together, we can look at how you communicate, recognise patterns that may be causing difficulties and develop a greater understanding of one another.
Alongside exploring the challenges you're facing, we'll also focus on your strengths as a couple and the positive changes you'd like to make.
The aim isn't to create a perfect relationship, but to help you find healthier ways of communicating, connecting and moving forward.
How Couples Counselling Can Help
- Couples counselling can support you with:
- Communication difficulties and recurring disagreements
- Feeling disconnected or misunderstood
- Rebuilding trust
- Navigating relationship or life changes
- Understanding each other's emotional needs
- Breaking unhelpful patterns of conflict
- Strengthening your emotional connection
- Exploring the future of your relationship
You don't need to be at breaking point to seek support.
Sometimes, simply having the opportunity to talk openly, listen to one another and reconnect can make a meaningful difference.
What to Expect
Starting couples counselling can feel daunting, particularly if things have been difficult for some time.
My aim is to help you both feel comfortable, supported and able to speak openly without fear of judgement.
During our first session, we'll explore what has brought you to counselling, the challenges you're experiencing and what you each hope to gain from our work together.
There is no pressure to have all the answers. We'll work at a pace that feels manageable, taking time to understand your relationship and explore what might help.
Location
Couples counselling is available exclusively at my Manchester city centre practice.
I've chosen this location because the therapy room offers a comfortable, private and welcoming environment particularly suited to couples counselling.
It's a dedicated space where you can step away from everyday distractions and focus on your relationship.
Session Fees
90-minute session – £140
My standard couples counselling session, allowing time for both partners to share their experiences and explore difficulties without feeling rushed.
120-minute extended session – £180
An extended session for couples who would benefit from additional time to explore their relationship in greater depth.
All sessions take place in person at my Manchester city centre practice.
